About Us:
 We
are the Joe and Connie Gerst family. We have lived in East-Central Iowa
for over 30 years and are pleased to bring the area the finest available
Yorkshire Terrier puppies. When you come to see us and our puppies, you may meet
"Pippi," our Yorkie who will properly welcome you in
the typical terrier
fashion and then
stand guard by her beloved master, Joe. "Chin-Chin," our ShihTzu who
was with us for over 14 years, has now went to her "happy hunting
ground." She is missed by all of us.
"Prince Ebony James," a Yorkie-Poo, will give you a warm
welcome as you come through the door...unless his master doesn't pick him up
first! On October 14th, 2010 he turned 4 years old, and is still full of fun! Ebby
follows Ruth, our daughter, around and absolutely adores her!

 How
it All Started:
Joe
and Connie Gerst started Knapp Creek Acres beginning
with just a pair of Bassets, "Frank" and "Frannie." We
quickly fell in love with the dogs and
in 1995, Yorkies came into
the picture. Yorkies are
now our specialty and the only breed we raise. |

Knapp Creek Acres is a family run facility, each doing his or her part
to keep every dog healthy and happy. It is our mission to raise quality
Yorkshire Terrier puppies using the highest breeding standards.

 Our
Facility:
The nursery is a quiet, warm place where our moms
give birth to their babies. It is much like a little hospital, equipped with
incubators to keep puppies warm when they need special attention. Each mother is
given individual attention each day to ensure she is in optimum health and her
babies are doing well. Our adult moms and dads are housed in the next room
where they receive daily care and attention. We hope all our customers will be
understanding of the crucial reasons we do not give inside tours of
our facility. We do everything possible to protect our breeding dogs
and their puppies from harmful diseases and we also strive to
provide a calm atmosphere for our nursing moms and their offspring. |
